Cookie Policy
Information about the cookies we use and how to manage your preferences.

What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and provide information to website owners.
This policy also covers similar technologies that store data on your device, in particular browser local storage, which we use to remember your cookie preferences.
How We Use Cookies
We use cookies for the following purposes:
- Essential cookies: Required for the website to function properly
- Analytics cookies: Help us understand how visitors interact with our website, and are set only with your consent
- Preference cookies: Remember your settings and preferences, such as the language you chose
- Marketing cookies: Would be used to deliver relevant advertising. We do not currently set any marketing or advertising cookies; the category remains available in your preference settings so that you stay in control if that ever changes
Essential Cookies
These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off. They are usually set in response to your actions, such as choosing a language.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| NEXT_LOCALE | Remembers the language you selected so pages load in that language | 1 year | First-party |
We do not use session or login cookies, because the website has no user accounts. Our forms are protected against cross-site request forgery by a signed token that is sent in a request header (x-csrf-token) and verified on the server; this token is generated per request and is never stored on your device.
Local Storage
In addition to cookies, we store one item in your browser's local storage:
- icai_consent: Records your cookie consent choices - whether you allowed analytics and marketing, the date and time of your choice, and the version of the consent notice you saw. It contains no name, email address or other identifying information.
Local storage is not a cookie and is not sent to our servers: it stays in your browser until you clear it or change your preferences. You can remove it at any time through your browser settings, in the same place you clear cookies and site data.
Analytics Cookies
These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our site. They help us know which pages are the most and least popular. We use Google Analytics 4, and it is loaded only after you allow analytics cookies.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics - distinguishes visitors | 2 years | Third-party |
| _ga_<measurement-id> | Google Analytics 4 - maintains session state | 2 years | Third-party |
Google may set further cookies of its own as its products change. Google Analytics is configured to anonymise IP addresses. For details of the cookies Google uses, see Google's own documentation.
Marketing Cookies
We do not currently set any marketing or advertising cookies, and we do not load advertising or tracking pixels. The marketing category remains in the cookie preference settings so that your choice is recorded in advance; if we introduce such cookies in the future, they will be loaded only if you have allowed that category, and this policy will be updated first.
Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You can manage your cookie preferences at any time through the consent settings on this site. Most web browsers also allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can:
- Delete all cookies from your browser
- Block all cookies from being set
- Allow only certain types of cookies
- Set your browser to notify you when cookies are being set
- Clear site data, which also removes the consent record from local storage
Please note that blocking some types of cookies may impact your experience on our website and the services we are able to offer.
Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are placed by third-party services that appear on our pages. We do not control these third-party cookies. Please check the respective privacy policies of these third parties for more information about their cookies.
Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
